I don’t think writers should quit fanfiction. Samcedes has some of the best stories out there. Just because glee can’t get their shit together doesn’t mean we should give up on the worlds we’ve created. We put time, effort and thought into our projects. We edit, develop, and work ourselves silly to produce quality fiction. I don’t think you should give up. I’m not giving up because I refuse to believe all the time and effort I’ve put into writing, not to mention the love it has returned to me is all for naught. Don’t we deserve better than that?
I don’t know if I’ll quit altogether but this episode left me with NO motivation to write Samcedes stuff. All I’ve done pretty much throughout the whole episode is laugh and I’m still sitting here laughing at having spent so much time watching this terrible show. And it’s just making me wonder if I want to invest any more time in this show. I know that, as a viewer I definitely don’t, but even as a fic writer, for a pairing that doesn’t even seem to know each other. Lol. I don’t know. I’m probably just bitter and this’ll pass but I’m just not feeling it right now.

1. Whoever wrote last night’s episode has been trolling the hell out of Mercedes related tags on Tumblr. Her voiceover was the stuff the MM has been saying for what seems like forever that she does have a dream and goals, and that just because her dream isn’t Broadway doesn’t make them any less relevant. She even pointed out (essentially) that Will doesn’t know a damn thing about her, and seemed to imply that he doesn’t care to.
2. The Samcedes scene, Sam = Mercedes Mafia, Mercedes = Amber. WHERE IS YOUR ALBUM, GIRL?!?! We have been looking forward to and wanting this album since at least last summer when we knew she was seriously working on it. And I swear, everything he said is what we’ve been saying about Amber, that we believe she’s destined for greater than what she has now, and that she deserves it. Sam was the BIGGEST GPOY last night.
3. I don’t think Samcedes are officially a couple yet. Sam said he hadn’t talked to her in a while, she was clearly avoiding him, I’m thinking Sue shook her ass last week when she called out their sexual tension, and since then Mercedes has been trying to stay away from Sam as if NOT being around him would make it go away. That’s not how I’d imagine she would act if they were a couple. So, I’m pretty sure they are still doing that “we’re dating, but we’re not dating” thing that they’ve been doing since at least Michael.
4. KURTCEDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t even know if ya’ll know how excited I was to see them on my TV last night. I love the fact that they didn’t sabotage Unique. Even if they did send her the shoes, it was just for luck, I don’t think they actually told her to wear them. And the fact that they knew how their gift would be interpreted, and went to STOP her from making what they thought would be a big mistake just shows that Kurtcedes is better than your favs. They went, and outright SUPPORTED Unique and everything she chose to be during that performance. They didn’t care that they were cheering for the competition, all they knew was they were cheering for their new friend. Pissing off Jesse’s rude ass was probably just the icing on the cake for them. And I LOVED that we got a scene with Kurtcedes and Sue, it was just like S1, she even admitted to them that she STILL doesn’t like Will. LOL. Also, the hallway scene where Kurt saw Sam coming and left Mercy hanging, I think he knows what’s going on. It would be nice to get a scene with Kurt talking to one of them about their relationship. My one complaint about the Kurtcedes here is that it comes after an entire season of them not really interacting, and yet it seems like they are still best friends. That rubs me the wrong way. If they are best friends, I need to see it more than once every 16 episodes.
5. Overall, I am very happy with the consistency that the writers showed with Mercedes in this episode. She wasn’t a wilting violet, she wasn’t looking for someone to be her hero or her champion. Sam didn’t ride in on a white horse, he was there to reaffirm her which is EXACTLY what I, and those of us who were concerned when we saw that promo a couple of weeks ago, wanted. Mercedes on her own was flaw free this episode. The only thing that would have made it better would have been had she done what Santana did and called Will on his bullshit to his face.

He is OFFICIALLY the best character to come out of The Glee Project. The rest of them can go home! And we need to keep him!

I was hoping for a multi-chapter fic (like they all find out together, it’s all sunshine and roses… at first… but then all hell breaks loose on the guys, LOL).
With that being said, this one-shot is adorable and flaw-free, and I literally LOL’d a couple of times (like at the guys having a secret conversation to not wake up Mercedes, and the girls crying and trying to hug in the store). Well done!

Aw, yay! I was hoping you would. I may write another part of it at some point, but I don’t think I could take on another WIP right now. I’m glad you liked it, though! :D BTW, this gif is kind of exactly how I picture Sam’s face after Mike tells him what he said to Tina.

LOL. Oh God. She’s sorta canon, though. She’s always in the halls following Sam around. I don’t know. I just kind of imagine her being best friends with Roz or Sue and just gossiping about everything.
