So Sam gave Quinn a promise ring, saying he’d be a good boyfriend to her, but he proposed marriage to Mercedes.

summerwithsamcedes:

People really gotta stop bringing up that promise ring, though. She cheated on him three episodes later. She obviously wasn’t trying to make the same promises to him. He broke up with her and he’s moved on. Clearly.

How it all started

Hollywood is a business. And I don’t fault it for that. It’s a business about money and advertising, and we don’t translate in the foreign market. And a lot of people want to indict Hollywood for that, but I don’t think it’s just an indictment on Hollywood; it may be more of an indictment on people who go to the theatre to put their money down – to see what? You see a film with a predominantly black cast and you don’t see it as inclusive, but you see a film with a predominantly white cast and it is. Why?

I want to be a pioneer; I want to take on the responsibility and the weight of something bigger than myself, which is more diverse storylines, especially for African-American actresses. But I can only do what I do. I certainly can’t change Hollywood’s complete perception of black actresses – I need help.

Eyes On The Prize

conflictfetish:

Glee being a snarky teenage comedy, I don’t expect morality lessons. In fact, my skin crawls every time they attempt to teach a lesson and fuck it up. Do I want Mercedes to have a cheating storyline? No, but mostly because it’s tedious. My interest in the character isn’t pinned on whether she’s a bigger saint than everybody else. ‘Cause the other thing we’re fighting for, besides her having a fully fledged love story, is a fully faceted portrayal of a young woman of color and size, but I’ll take what I can get.

I want this girl to win. That’s why I’m watching.

Someone in Sam’s tag just said Lucky was Chord’s best duet and performance ever.

And they’re calling people ‘fake’ and not his true fans if they just now start loving his voice cause of Human Nature.

Uhm..

Bitch dont know nothing and if they looked past the tip of their bias nose they would realize that people loved his voice way before Human Nature. GTFOOHWTS.

Actually, I loved his voice since Billionaire, which was his first fucking song. And Lucky was bland as shit. Which, let me say, wasn’t his fault.

Facts, Chrissy! I loved Chord’s voice in Billionaire! But then Lucky fell short for me because of how bland it was. I still maintain he had to tone his voice down to sing with Dianna.

Lucky doesn’t even compare to Human Nature…like at all. It was a forgettable song, imo, but I think we all know why they are trying to make this a debate right now. I’m just going to ignore and keep enjoying this our flawless duet.
